This cover was really enjoyable! The biggest challenge with recording this cover was recording the transition between both songs. I discovered that the first song was in 6/8 and the second was in 4/4 time. I have not figured out how Garageband works completely but unfortunately, it does not allow two time signatures in one recording. In order to record the rhythms of each song correctly, I recorded them separately, at similar tempos, and then put them together to create this! Thankfully, they were in the same key so finding the solfege was not difficult. I began with writing out the lyrics and then wrote the solfege of the melody underneath. After the melody, I found the chords and wrote the solfege for that and where they fell under the melody. This made the recording process easy. Solfege has made me hear songs in a completely different way, and this project was a perfect way to further challenge myself in that.
